• On 6 February 2004, Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. obtained certification of its Quality Management System from the DNV certification body, in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001, valid for the provision of public transport services by rail and road. On 5 January 2006, the certification was also extended to the design and management of railway infrastructures.   

• On 12 July 2005, Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. obtained certification for its Social Responsibility Management System, in compliance with the SA8000 standard, from the DNV certification body. This certification, which expresses recognition of compliance with the principles of work ethics, externally highlights the Company's social commitment, with particular reference to the improvement of working conditions (health and safety, absence of discrimination and forced or compulsory labor, freedom of association and collective bargaining, etc.). Compliance with the individual requirements of the standard is also evident from the SA8000 balance sheet, drawn up annually and available on the company website www.ferrotramviaria.it.    

• Over the years, Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. has been active in the process of liberalizing rail transport, proposing itself as a railway company for freight and passenger transport on the national railway infrastructure. To carry out these services, it has designed and implemented a Safety Management System, certified by the National Agency for the Safety of Railways and Road and Motorway Infrastructures (ANSFISA) since 2009. Starting from 1 January 2024, Ferrotramviaria has consolidated its position in the freight transport and logistics sector at a national level through the sale of a business unit from which T.F.I, Trasporti Ferroviari Italiani, was born. A company founded from the experience of Ferrotramviaria to increase the rail freight transport business, further affirming its growth, innovation and leadership in the national freight transport sector.       

 • In January 2024, Ferrotramviaria Transport Division completed the process to obtain the renewal of its Safety Certificate which was issued by ANSFISA, via the ERA OSS portal, on 11/01/2024 with a validity of five years, and therefore expiring in January 2029.      

• On 16 June 2023, Ferrotramviaria S.p.A., as Infrastructure Manager of the Bari-Fesca S. Girolamo-Bitonto-Barletta, Bari-Fesca S. Girolamo-Airport-Bivio S. Spirito, Bari-Fesca S. Girolamo-Quartiere San Paolo lines, obtained from ANSFISA the renewal of the Safety Authorization, valid for five years and therefore expiring in June 2028. The five-year duration is the maximum duration of validity for this authorization title. The Safety Authorization is the document that "certifies the acceptance of the safety management system and the acceptance of the measures adopted by the Infrastructure Manager to satisfy the specific requirements necessary for the safety of the design, maintenance and operation of the railway infrastructure, including, where applicable, the maintenance and operation of the traffic control and signaling system on the network in question, in accordance with the applicable national legislation". The first authorization measure – Safety Authorization – was issued by ANSF (now ANSFISA) to the Infrastructure Manager Ferrotramviaria on 28 June 2018. Ferrotramviaria was the third regional railway in the entire national territory to obtain this authorization measure. In 2019, the Safety Authorization was renewed for two years, in 2021 renewed again for one year and extended for 10 months in 2022. The Safety Authorization is the title without which the Infrastructure Manager is not authorized to operate.  

• On 15 January 2016, Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. was certified in compliance with the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard; following a regulatory update, the certification is now in compliance with the requirements of the ISO 45001 standard. This certification guarantees the existence of an effective and efficient workplace safety management system that helps identify risks, defines objectives and responsibilities, thus facilitating the prevention of accidents in the workplace. The certification also demonstrates the compliance of company practices with the provisions of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and other major laws in the field of health and safety.           

• On 20 October 2021, Certifer Italia issued to Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. - for its activities as a Railway Company - the Certificate of Conformity of the Entity Responsible for Maintenance (ECM). On 18 December 2023, Certifer Italia extended to Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. the Certificate of Conformity of the Entity Responsible for Maintenance (ECM) also for the maintenance of freight wagons. This is the confirmation of acceptance of the maintenance system of an entity responsible for maintenance (ECM) within the European Union in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/798 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779.  

• Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. obtained environmental certification in compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard on 21 March 2022. This certification guarantees the existence of an environmental management system that helps identify risks, defines objectives and responsibilities, thus facilitating the prevention of negative events. The Certification is currently valid for some of the sites managed by the company, the process of extending the certification to all locations is expected by 2025.
