Ticket Validity
The travel tickets Ferrotramviaria are issued in the following types: Single journey ticket, Round trip ticket A/R, Weekly and monthly subscription, Integrated Railway-Automotive weekly and monthly subscription. Such tickets can be purchased both at ticket offices and at automatic vending machines and are only usable for railway services.
The Single journey ticket, the monthly subscription, and the weekly subscription can be purchased online.
The Single journey ticket can be purchased using the App “Ferrotramviaria SpA” for mobile devices with Android or Apple (iOS) operating systems.
Can be purchased in advance of the date of use.
It is valid on the day of purchase or on the day of validity eventually indicated at the time of purchase to make a single journey on the route origin - destination indicated on the ticket.
Must always be validated before the journey.
The validity of the ticket from the moment of validation is three hours to complete the journey on the route origin - destination indicated on the ticket.
Can only be used for railway services.
Can be purchased in advance of the date of use.
It is valid on the day of purchase or on the day of validity eventually indicated at the time of purchase to make one outward journey and one return journey on the route indicated on the ticket.
Must always be validated by validation before the outward journey and before the return journey.
The validity of the ticket from the moment of validation is three hours to complete the outward journey and three hours to complete the return journey, on the route indicated on the ticket.
Can only be used for railway services.
The A/R ticket is printed in two tickets.
For both types of ticket – single journey and round trip – the following conditions apply.
Single journey and round trip tickets that are not validated are not valid.
In case of unserviceability of the validator or irregular stamping, the traveler must contact the station staff or promptly inform, at the time of boarding the vehicle, the onboard staff to obtain validation of the ticket.
Can be purchased in advance of the usage period: the weekly from the Friday preceding the validity week, the monthly from the 25th of the month prior to the usage month.
It is valid for making an unlimited number of journeys on the route and within the validity period indicated on the ticket.
It is individual, personal, non-transferable, and does not require validation.
Can only be used for railway services.
The subscription purchased at ticket offices and self-service must be clearly and legibly filled out by the traveler in pen, with their personal data.
The subscription purchased online is valid even if shown by the holder on a suitable electronic device (tablet, smartphone, notebook, wearable device) that allows the reading of the QR code by the electronic devices that the control agents are equipped with.
It must be presented at the request of the control personnel accompanied by a valid personal identity document.
The weekly and/or monthly subscription can be loaded onto the "E-VIA CARD,” a personal identification document on magnetic support.
The holders of single journey tickets and A/R tickets and weekly subscriptions and Monthly subscriptions have the right to make intermediate stops.

The "e-via" card is a personal identification document with a photo that allows users to:
• load directly the subscriptions purchased online or at the Self-Service automatic ticket offices, without the need to print the paper subscription;
• be recognized by the control devices of the onboard staff;
• benefit from the opportunity for quick passage at the control checkpoints for the connection to the San Paolo District and for the connection to Karol Wojtyla Airport;
• take advantage of additional services, which will soon be implemented at our stations.
The "e-via" card can be obtained by personally presenting to the General Transport Directorate of Ferrotramviaria, Piazza A. Moro 50/B - Bari, the specific application form, downloadable from the company website www.ferrotramviaria.it, duly filled out, along with a photo ID and a copy of a valid identity document.
The e-via card application with the related attachments can also be submitted online, directly from the homepage of the company website www.ferrotramviaria.it.
The "e-via" card has a price of €5.00 as a contribution towards the service costs, which must be paid at the time of card collection or in advance via bank transfer.
The user can collect the "e-via" card not only at the General Transport Directorate of Ferrotramviaria "Technical Operational Support - Customer Relations Office" but also at the station ticket offices, in any case equipped with a valid identification document.
To members belonging to the FF.OO. (Carabinieri, State Police, Financial Police, and Penitentiary Police), to the FF.AA. (Italian Army, Air Force, and Navy), to the VV.F. (Firefighters), and to the subjects indicated in L.R. 31/10/2002 no. 18 - art. 30, who request it, the card is issued free of charge.
Request the RFID subscription card.
The integrated "railway-automotive" subscription, weekly or monthly, allows the use of both the railway transport mode and the automotive mode, diversified along the same route, during the validity period of the subscription itself.
It can be purchased in advance of the usage period: the weekly from the Friday preceding the validity week, the monthly from the 25th of the month prior to the usage month.
It is valid for making an unlimited number of journeys on the route and within the validity period indicated on the ticket.
It is individual, personal, non-transferable, and does not require validation.
The subscription purchased at ticket offices and self-service must be clearly and legibly filled out by the traveler in pen, with their personal data.
The subscription purchased online is valid even if shown by the holder on a suitable electronic device (tablet, smartphone, notebook, wearable device) that allows the reading of the QR code by the electronic devices that the control agents are equipped with.
It must be presented at the request of the control personnel, accompanied by a valid personal identity document.
The weekly and/or monthly subscription can be loaded onto the “e-via” card, a personal identification document on magnetic support.
For travel to/from the Airport, only the single journey ticket can be purchased. The price is obtained by adding a surcharge of about €4.00 to the price obtained from the regional fare, for any place of origin/destination.
The single journey ticket to/from the Airport purchased at station ticket offices, self-service machines, and authorized external sales points:
- can be purchased in advance of the usage date;
- is valid for making a single journey on the route origin - destination indicated on the ticket either on the day of purchase or on the day of validity eventually indicated at the time of purchase, throughout the entire day.
- does not require any validation.
The single journey ticket to/from the Airport purchased online:
- can be purchased in advance of the usage date;
- is valid for making a single journey on the route origin - destination and on the only day indicated on the ticket;
- is valid for the entire indicated day regardless of the selected time;
- is individual, personal, non-transferable. If produced in paper format, it does not require any validation;
- must be presented at the request of the control personnel, accompanied by a valid personal identity document.
The ticket to/from the Airport is canceled, both on entry and exit, when passing through the control gates located at the Airport Stop.

SINGLE JOURNEY TICKET
Can be purchased in advance of the usage date.
It is valid only on the day of purchase or on the day of validity eventually indicated at the time of purchase to make a single journey on the route origin - destination indicated on the ticket.
It must always be validated before the journey.
The validity of the ticket from the moment of validation is three hours to complete the journey on the route origin - destination indicated on the ticket.
Can only be used for automotive service - bus lines.
ROUND TRIP TICKET A/R
Can be purchased in advance of the usage date.
It is valid only on the day of purchase or on the day of validity eventually indicated at the time of purchase to make an outward journey and a return journey on the route indicated on the ticket.
It must always be validated by validation before the outward journey and before the return journey.
The validity of the ticket from the moment of validation is three hours to complete the outward journey and three hours to complete the return journey on the route indicated on the ticket.
Can only be used for automotive service - bus lines.
For both types of ticket – single journey and round trip – the following conditions apply.

WEEKLY AND MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION

It is individual, personal, non-transferable, and does not require validation.

The subscription purchased at ticket offices and self-service must be clearly and legibly filled out by the traveler in pen, with their personal data.
The subscription purchased online is valid even if shown by the holder on a suitable electronic device (tablet, smartphone, notebook, wearable device) that allows the reading of the QR code by the electronic devices that the control agents are equipped with.
It must be presented at the request of the control personnel, accompanied by a valid personal identity document.
The weekly and/or monthly subscription can be loaded onto the “e-via” card, a personal identification document on magnetic support.
Holders of single journey and A/R tickets and weekly and monthly subscriptions have the right to make intermediate stops.
Subscriptions issued for the automotive relation Bari Sud - Q.re San Paolo are not valid on the FM1 railway line.

To travel correctly and safely on the vehicles of the Ferrovie del Nord Barese, the traveler must adhere to the following rules and recommendations.
• On board the vehicles, the traveler must possess a valid travel document, purchased in advance, even for any baggage exceeding the allowance admitted free of charge (except for the route to and from the airport).
• The single journey ticket and the round trip ticket purchased at ticket offices and self-service machines must be validated at the appropriate validating machine, located on the ground in the stations and stops of the railway line and on board the vehicles of the automotive service. The traveler is required to check that the validation has occurred correctly.
• In case of malfunction of the validating machine or incorrect validation of the ticket, the traveler must immediately inform the onboard staff at the time of boarding the train, for the railway service, and the line driver, for the automotive service. They will only validate the travel document in the possession of the traveler.
• Possession of a non-validated or incorrectly validated travel document does not authorize travel, and the user is considered to have an invalid travel document and is liable to administrative penalty.
• The single journey ticket with the QR code does not need to be validated, is non-transferable, and must be shown upon request of the control personnel accompanied by a valid personal identity document.
• Weekly and monthly subscriptions purchased at ticket offices and self-service must be clearly and legibly filled out by the traveler in pen, with their personal data, to be valid.
• Subscriptions must be presented upon request of the control personnel accompanied by a valid personal identity document.
• Bus line travelers, at the time of boarding through the front door of the vehicle, must present the regular travel document to the bus driver.
• The travel document must be kept intact and recognizable by the user for the entire route or for the whole duration of its validity and presented upon request of the designated personnel.
• Users who start the journey without a ticket, in order to avoid the penalties provided by law, must promptly inform, at the time of boarding, the company staff on duty of the need to obtain a ticket. They will issue a single journey ticket with an additional charge of €3.00. For travelers that depart from stops or stations with missing or closed ticket offices and/or with malfunctioning automatic vending machines, the onboard personnel will issue the single journey ticket without an additional charge.
• Holders of single journey tickets and A/R tickets and subscriptions have the right to make intermediate stops.
• The holder of the travel document can start or finish the journey at any location included in the relation for which the ticket is valid, provided that no refund is due for the journey not made.
• The transfer of nominal travel documents is prohibited, and after the start of the journey, the transfer of non-nominal ones is also prohibited.
• The traveler is required to show the travel document to the company personnel on duty whenever requested.
• The traveler, when requested, is required to provide their personal details to the control personnel. Such personnel, in carrying out their functions of ascertaining and contesting irregularities of travel documents, acquires the status of public official as per Article 71 of the Railway Police Regulation.
• The traveler without an identity document may be asked to alight from the vehicle and subjected to identification by the competent Police Authority.
• The traveler is required to pay to the authorized agents the amounts they request for taxes, surcharges, penalties, and any other fees related to transportation.
RULES
On board, the traveler is required to observe the following rules.
• Strictly respect the instructions and regulations issued by the Company and the directions given by company personnel, and approach the agents on duty in case of danger.
• Take the necessary precautions and ensure, as far as they are able, their own safety and the safety of others people and animals under their custody, as well as the safety of their belongings. In particular, travelers must pay specific attention, both during stops and while moving, to the automatically opening and closing doors, given the characteristics of said doors.
• If traveling while standing, they must hold onto the appropriate supports during the vehicle's motion; if seated, they cannot occupy, unless otherwise specified, more than one seat.
• Yield the seat to the disabled and invalid, as well as assist elderly people and pregnant women and/or persons with dependent children.
• Inform the company personnel on duty about any lost items found on board the vehicle.
• The bus traveler is required to signal, using the appropriate button on the bus, the reservation of the stop to alight from the bus, and to request the stop with a hand gesture to board.
PROHIBITIONS
Passengers of the transportation service must comply with the following prohibitions.
• Alight from the train at stops outside the station. They may only alight if authorized by the service personnel and from the side indicated, keeping away from the train during the stop and boarding as soon as invited by the personnel.
• Board and alight from the bus at different points than those marked as stops.
• Open the windows of the vehicles without the consent of all affected travelers.
• Operate the emergency door opening controls as well as any other emergency device installed in the social vehicle and highlighted as such, except in cases of serious and imminent danger.
• Lean out or throw objects from the windows.
• Damage or soil the vehicles, walls, accessories, and furnishings.
• Access the vehicle with weapons and materials categorized as harmful and dangerous or with objects and packaging that by their volume, shape, and nature may be dangerous for travelers and/or cause damage to the vehicle.
• Smoke on board.
• Engage in advertising and/or commercial activities, even for charitable purposes, without prior authorization from the Management.
• Board the social vehicle in a state of intoxication or under physical or psychological conditions that may cause harm to themselves and to other occupants of the vehicle, or behave in a manner that disturbs other travelers. The service personnel may invite those responsible for the disturbance to alight from the social vehicle, even resorting to the intervention of law enforcement.
