Railway connection through Bari “Karol Wojtyla” Airport

Ferrotramviaria is a "door" that allows access to a territory rich in history, culture, traditions and natural beauty that is the Land of Bari and therefore also Puglia.

Since 2013, the railway link that connects Bari Airport to Bari Centrale and Barletta has been opened for operation . It is one of the most advanced engineering works carried out in Puglia, and Bari is one of the few cities in Italy to have a direct rail connection with the airport, easily reachable in 17 minutes from Bari .

The railway stop is located inside the airport, directly connected through a 300-meter tunnel in the "arrivals" area and the railway line is 100% electrified.

The trains of Ferrotramviaria S.p.A. from the airport arrive, in fact, also in the station of Bari Centrale contiguous to the station Centrale di Bari di RFI (Ferrovie dello Stato) from where through a pedestrian link tunnel between our stations travelers can continue to any of the other regional destinations. Same thing happens for anyone coming from the airport and wanted to reach Matera, for the beautiful City of Sassi in fact you can get off at our Bari Centrale station and transfer to the adjacent railway station Appulo Lucane, taking advantage of the lift that connects the different levels of the tracks of the two stations .

Puglia, with its 1,500 km of railway network that runs through it like an intricate venous system, represents a unique opportunity for the traveller, combining speed and comfort with the pleasure of knowing and seeing the landscape from a window through a transport system, efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
